Dolly Parton‘s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been successfully restored after a vandalism incident, according to reports from TMZ.

Photos obtained by TMZ reveal that Dolly’s star appears pristine, with her name fully restored. A striking turquoise butterfly now adorns the center medallion, surrounded by an array of flowers and heartfelt tributes.

The butterfly serves as a meaningful tribute. Dolly has often expressed her affinity for butterflies, linking them to her personal journey and connection with nature. She has shared that her childhood experiences chasing butterflies in Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains have left a lasting impression on her.

Earlier reports indicated that someone had vandalized the star by scratching Dolly’s name shortly after her passing at the age of 80, following a brief battle with cancer.

Ana Martinez, a representative from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, informed TMZ that the restoration process required three days of curing before crews could polish the star on Friday morning.

Martinez clarified that Dolly’s family did not bear the responsibility for the repairs. The Hollywood Historic Trust, a nonprofit organization, oversees the maintenance and restoration of the stars on the Walk of Fame.

Repair expenses differ based on the extent of the damage. The Trust collaborates with the same construction company that creates the stars to handle all restoration work.
