JWoww Captures Her Children’s First Day Of School Despite Ongoing Health Struggles
On Thursday, September 3, JWoww posted on Instagram, featuring a carousel of images along with a heartfelt caption. She expressed, “Not the ‘first day of school’ picture I wanted to share… but then again, I suppose we wouldn’t have one. ❤️.”
In her caption, she elaborated on how the previous week had been “one of the hardest weeks” she has ever faced. She detailed her daily battle against a “severe kidney infection and appendicitis.”
“I wish I could say it came out of nowhere, but honestly, I haven’t felt like myself for months. Weight loss, fatigue, and a constant sense of being unwell… and then last Friday, my body finally said, ‘We can’t keep going like this anymore,’” she shared.
She acknowledged that the usual first-day routine with her children was disrupted, yet they created a memorable experience that they will cherish.
“What I’m experiencing is temporary. For some families, this summer brought life-altering changes. Some kids are stepping into school carrying grief, dealing with illness at home, facing divorce, financial difficulties, a new diagnosis, or challenges that remain unseen… You never truly know what someone is going through behind closed doors. Our first-day photo might look a bit different this year, but we have one. Right now, I am incredibly thankful for that. ❤️ Here’s to a fresh school year. May our children be safe, successful, and above all, kind,” she concluded.
