According to the report, by the time law enforcement arrived at the scene, Foxx had already left the restaurant, leaving many questions about the exact circumstances surrounding the incident unanswered and vague.
That same evening, a representative for Foxx provided a statement to the media regarding the troubling incident, shedding light on the situation.
“Jamie Foxx was celebrating his birthday when an individual from a nearby table threw a glass that struck him in the mouth. He required stitches and is currently in recovery. The police have been contacted, and the situation is now under investigation by law enforcement,” the spokesperson stated.
Furthermore, a witness reported that patrons at a table adjacent to Foxx were being “rude and vulgar.” Allegedly, when Foxx requested them to cease their disruptive behavior, one individual at the table retaliated by throwing the glass, resulting in the injury to Foxx’s face.
