‘The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim’ trailer teases an epic battle for the fate of Rohan

Saddle up, Lord of the Rings followers, and prepare to trip for break and the world’s ending, as a result of we’re headed again to Rohan.

The dominion of the Horse-lords takes middle stage within the upcoming anime movie The Lord of the Rings: The Struggle of the Rohirrim, directed by Kenji Kamiyama and government produced by Peter Jackson. Set 183 years earlier than the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Struggle of the Rohirrim introduces us to mighty King Helm Hammerhand (voiced by Succession‘s Brian Cox) and his fierce daughter Héra (voiced by Gaia Smart).

When Dunlending lord Wulf (voiced by Luke Pasqualino) assaults Rohan to avenge the loss of life of his father, Helm, Héra, and all of the Rohirrim will make a heroic final stand within the historical stronghold of the Hornburg, aka Helm’s Deep. Prepare for intense sword fights, battles between horses and oliphaunts, and the return of Miranda Otto as Éowyn, who serves because the movie’s narrator.

The Lord of the Rings: The Struggle of the Rohirrim hits theaters Dec. 13.
