According to an official Marvel press release, the upcoming third season of What If…? will continue to explore the multiverse by showcasing “classic characters making unexpected choices that will mutate their worlds into spectacular alternate versions of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).” The season is set to feature appearances from beloved characters such as Captain America/Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes as the Winter Soldier, Hulk/Bruce Banner, Red Guardian, Captain Peggy Carter, and Agatha Harkness. Not to mention Shang-Chi and Storm as the Goddess of Thunder, along with many others, ensuring an action-packed season that fans will not want to miss.
Spotting the Multiverse Characters: A Challenge for Fans
From what we can gather from the trailer, the roster of “numerous others” includes an impressive lineup featuring Nebula, Moon Knight, Dormammu, Yondu, Kahori, the Eternals, Ying Nan, White Vision, Korg, and many more. However, the cel-shaded animation style may make it a bit tricky to distinguish some characters at first glance, as their features tend to blend together due to symmetry. Nevertheless, there is an abundance of MCU lore to uncover, much more than what we saw during Speedball’s last visit to Stamford, Connecticut.
