Kandy Muse Discusses the Thrilling Dynamics of the Home of Villains
Competing to be crowned America’s Ultimate Supervillain on Home of Villains can be quite demanding; however, according to Kandy Muse, it pales in comparison to the pressure of lip-syncing for survival and strutting down the runway on Drag Race. Muse highlights that the atmosphere in Home of Villains allows participants to embrace their more mischievous sides without the same level of intensity found in traditional drag competitions.
In a candid interview with TooFab, following her unexpected banishment from the E! series, Kandy Muse reflected on her journey in Season 2 of Home of Villains. During the conversation, she drew intriguing parallels between her experiences on this show and her time competing on RuPaul’s Drag Race and Drag Race All Stars, emphasizing the contrasting challenges and environments of each show.

Kandy Muse Explains Why Home of Villains Offers a More Enjoyable Experience Compared to Drag Race
Despite the lack of privacy while sharing a space with numerous reality stars in Home of Villains, Muse remarked that the experience is “more enjoyable” and significantly less stressful than competing on Drag Race. The camaraderie and playful nature of their interactions foster a fun environment, allowing participants to engage in a lighthearted competition.
“Oh my god. It’s so completely different,” stated Muse, 30. “On Home of Villains, we’re in a house, and we’re filming practically 24 hours a day. Even when the official filming wraps, hidden cameras and microphones capture our every move, leaving little room for privacy. In contrast, on Drag Race, the schedule is defined: we are on set from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.”
“I would say this experience is considerably more enjoyable,” she elaborated. “On Drag Race, there is a palpable stress. The preparation required is immense, as you must curate multiple looks and navigate a highly competitive workroom. While Home of Villains presents its own challenges—like the constant threat of betrayal—it maintains a playful and campy spirit. The drama exists, but we do not take ourselves too seriously, which enhances the entertainment value of reality TV.”
When asked which contestant from the Drag Race universe she believes would excel as a villain on Home of Villains, Muse confidently named Gia Gunn.
“I think the next Drag Race queen who should join Home of Villains is undeniably Gia Gunn,” she expressed to TooFab. “Anyone who watched Gia on All Stars 4 knows she was a force to be reckoned with, always stirring up chaos. She brings a fun energy, and I would love to see her on the show.”
“But you know what? I would love to see Kandy Muse back for Season 3!” she added enthusiastically.
Muse expressed that she would “absolutely” jump at the chance to return to the show. Her enthusiasm echoes that of Tiffany “New York” Pollard, who made a surprising return to Season 2 after her early elimination in Season 1.
“I feel so robbed of my opportunity,” Muse lamented. “I’m like, ‘I have to come back, bring me back mid-season to stir the pot!’”

Kandy Muse Reacts to Jessie Godderz’s ‘Betrayal’ and Her Banishing
At the end of last week’s episode, Supervillain Jessie Godderz placed both Muse and Pollard on the Hit List, leading to an explosive confrontation. In the latest episode, host Joel McHale surprised the rest of the cast—Wes Bergmann, Larsa Pippen, and Safaree—by revealing that the banishment vote would occur within just one hour.
While speaking with TooFab, Muse recounted her feelings regarding Godderz’s “betrayal,” admitting she wasn’t entirely caught off guard.
“It’s so funny because what they didn’t show you is that right before we went into the Hit List nominations, I pulled Jessie aside and asked him, ‘Do you know what you’re going to do?’ I wanted to get a sense of his intentions,” she recalled. “And he looked at me and said, after the night before, he assured me I wasn’t going up. Then he looked at me and said, ‘I don’t know what I’m gonna do. You need to see it from my perspective.’”
“In that moment, I already knew,” she continued. “I said, ‘Okay, you’re going to put me up. You’re gonna betray me.’”
Muse mentioned that it “made sense” for Godderz to target New York after she stirred up some drama, noting that she had an inkling he would also nominate Bergmann due to the fake immunity letter he crafted.

“[Godderz] was upset because he thought I was lying to him, but let me clarify: I did not lie to Jessie about the letter,” she continued. “I simply didn’t mention the letter to him. That’s not lying. But once he said my name, at that moment, I was hurt primarily because, one, I felt betrayed. Yes, we were in an alliance, but we were friends. So, in that moment, I was like, ‘Oh, ouch, okay.’”
“I already knew that being on the Hit List meant I wasn’t coming back from that,” Muse stated. “I knew I was the biggest competitor in there. Everyone was aware that if I made it to the end, I would win. So I knew that once they had the chance to eliminate me, they were going to take it.”
During the hour, Muse and Pollard had the opportunity to persuade the rest of the house to align with them, and the former broke down in tears, coming to terms with the strong possibility of being sent home. Notably, she wasn’t the only one tearing up; Godderz also displayed emotional vulnerability.
When TooFab asked Muse if she believes Godderz felt guilty about nominating her, she replied, “Here’s the thing. Jessie felt guilty as soon as we walked out of the Hit List nominations; he felt like an a–hole. He immediately regretted his decision and was crying.”
After McHale later announced that Muse was being sent home instead of Pollard, in a unanimous vote, Muse stated she “wasn’t shocked” and recognized the underlying alliances and previous Hit List votes that led to this outcome.
“I already knew none of these people here would keep me,” she shared. “I could beat them in the end. So it’s okay. I understand. It’s a power move, it’s a strategy. Do what you need to do for your game. Clearly, it sucks for me because I don’t want to leave, but I get it. I understand the game.”

Kandy Muse Confidently Shares Her Belief in Winning the Finale
As Muse previously stated, had she not faced banishment, she is confident she would have not only reached the finale but also claimed victory in the entire competition.
She expressed that she “absolutely” believes she would have taken home the title, elaborating on her strategy. According to Muse, she was playing a significant game behind the scenes.
“Here’s the thing. Here’s a little tea that people don’t know,” Muse explained. “Every time someone got eliminated and went home, I always made sure to check up on them. I would text them or send them a message on Instagram, just making sure they were okay.”
“At the same time, I knew if the finale was like Season 1, we were going to have a jury vote, and I wanted to win over the jury,” she continued, referencing how previously eliminated cast members return to vote for who should be crowned America’s Ultimate Supervillain.
However, Muse revealed that Wes Bergmann “caught wind” of her strategy. “Wes already knew my gameplay, and in that moment, he realized if I made it to the finale, I would win the jury vote,” she told TooFab. “So he needed to eliminate me.”
Kandy Muse Reflects on Strategic Decisions and Missed Opportunities
Discussing Bergmann, Muse noted that had she been given a second chance, she would have placed him on the Hit List as a strategic move.
“Oh, if I could go back, I would definitely put Wes on my Hit List when he gave me the fake immunity letter because I feel that if Wes was on the Hit List, he would have undoubtedly been eliminated. His interference was detrimental to my game,” she explained, reflecting on the impact of his actions on her journey in the competition.
Despite her elimination, Muse expressed that her overall experience on Home of Villains was positive and rewarding.
“I made wonderful friends. It was such a fun experience. This was so completely different from Drag Race; even watching the show back, it’s so entertaining,” she shared. “We were just being silly in the house, and the show itself was a blast to film because there was nothing to lose. The beauty of being in the Home of Villains was that
