Tyler Shough Has a Bright Future
… Potential to be Saints’ Franchise QB!

Tyler Shough has made a significant impression on both Saints fans and star players. Cam Jordan stated to TMZ Sports that he believes the rookie could become their franchise quarterback.
The New Orleans Saints have been on the lookout for a new quarterback since Drew Brees retired. Despite acquiring players like Jameis Winston, Andy Dalton, and Derek Carr, they have yet to find a long-term solution.
Until now, the search for a true leader at quarterback has been challenging.
The Saints drafted Shough in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He threw for 2,384 passing yards and 13 touchdowns in 11 games. Jordan noted that this performance was a strong showcase of his abilities.
“I think with him, there could be a bright future,” Jordan stated. “Hopefully he can continue to build upon that process that we showed last year.”
High praise brings high pressure, especially for a young QB. Jordan believes Shough must “continue grinding, continue proving everybody who you think you are.”
With some experience, the 8-time Pro Bowler thinks the Saints can return to the playoffs. The ultimate goal is always to win it all, not just a few games.
“Ain’t nobody in the whole offseason, like man, I hope we just win three games. I’ll leave that to the Jets.”
