The anticipated launch of Apple’s smart home hub is likely to be delayed, as recent reports indicate that the tech giant is reconsidering its timeline. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple has postponed the announcement of this innovative product, which has generated much excitement among tech enthusiasts. This delay is partly due to the anticipated improvements in Siri, which may also be pushed back. In a statement to Bloomberg, Apple confirmed that it aims to unveil Siri’s more advanced and personalized features within the next year. Gurman highlighted that the functionality of the smart home hub is significantly tied to the enhanced capabilities of Siri.
In earlier reports, it was suggested that the initial version of the smart home hub could be released as early as March. This device is expected to compete directly with popular products like Amazon’s Echo series and Google’s Nest Hub. Although the March launch now appears unlikely, Gurman has revealed that Apple is permitting a select group of employees to conduct home testing of the device, indicating that development is ongoing and progress is being made.
