Neuromancer Trailer Brings William Gibson’s Vision to Life

During the San Diego Comic-Con panel, Apple TV surprised fans by unveiling the first teaser trailer for its highly anticipated sci-fi series Neuromancer. This teaser offers our most comprehensive glimpse into the show, which draws inspiration from the iconic 1984 novel by William Gibson. Renowned as a foundational text of the cyberpunk genre, Neuromancer has never been adapted for either film or television prior to this announcement.

The cast of Neuromancer features talents such as Callum Turner, Briana Middleton, Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Peter Sarsgaard, and Clémence Poésy. The official synopsis describes the series: “Neuromancer follows Case (Turner), a high-level hacker with a troubled past, who becomes entangled in a dangerous world of digital espionage and high-stakes crime alongside his partner Molly (Middleton), a lethal razor-girl assassin. Together, they undertake a heist against a corporate empire shrouded in secrets.”

This teaser, lasting just over a minute, effectively conveys the show’s striking visual style. Apple has clearly invested effort into authentically capturing the essence of Gibson’s universe. Given the platform’s growing reputation for delivering exceptional sci-fi series, it appeared early on that Neuromancer would be a fitting addition to their lineup. Based on this initial peek, that expectation remains strong.

The series is brought to life by Graham Roland (Dark Winds) and JD Dillard (Utopia, The Twilight Zone), with Roland taking on the role of showrunner. The impressive supporting cast also includes Max Irons, Dane DeHaan, Junia Rees, Jordan Kouamé, Emma Laird, Marc Menchaca, André De Shields, and Isabella Pappas.

Neuromancer is set to premiere on January 22, 2027, exclusively on Apple TV. Viewers can look forward to the launch of the first two episodes on that day, followed by the remaining eight episodes released weekly thereafter.
