The latest edition of Connections: Sports Edition offers an engaging challenge for those familiar with Raiders history.
This game is a unique take on the well-known New York Times word puzzle, designed to test the sports knowledge of fans.
Similar to the original Connections, the objective is to identify the “common threads among words.” Just like Wordle, Connections resets every day at midnight, presenting players with increasingly difficult sets of words. What is the Connections: Sports Edition Game?
The NYT has launched a new daily word game in partnership with The Athletic, the New York Times’ dedicated sports coverage platform. This sports-focused version of Connections is accessible via web browsers and mobile devices, tasking players with grouping four related words.

Each puzzle consists of 16 words, divided into four categories. These categories can include anything from book titles to software names to country names. Although many words may seem like they belong together, only one combination is correct.
If players correctly identify all four words in a category, those words are eliminated from the board. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, and players are allowed up to four mistakes before the game concludes.

Players have the option to rearrange and shuffle the board, making it easier to identify connections. Each group is also color-coded, with yellow indicating the easiest category, followed by green, blue, and purple. Much like Wordle, you can share your results on social media platforms.
