A California woman, Libby Adame, was convicted of murdering “ER” star Cindyana Santangelo through a silicone butt injection and could spend the rest of her life in prison.
On Wednesday, Adame, also known as “The Butt Lady,” received a sentence of 15 years to life in prison.
Last month, Adame was found guilty of second-degree murder and practicing medicine without a license in connection with the death of Cindyana.
Cindyana died in March, and investigators indicated that autopsy results revealed she suffered an embolism from a silicone injection given earlier that day.
Jurors deliberated for just over a day before convicting Adame.

At the time of Cindyana’s death, Adame was on probation due to a prior involuntary manslaughter case linked to fatal butt injections in Los Angeles in 2019, which resulted in the death of 26-year-old Karissa Rajpaul.
Prosecutors during the Rajpaul trial had warned Adame that she might face murder charges if another client died, which ultimately occurred.
In March 2024, Adame and her daughter were convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the Rajpaul case but were acquitted of murder charges in that instance.
Cindyana was only 58 at the time of her death and was famously referred to as the “Latin Marilyn Monroe” by Perry Farrell, the frontman of Jane’s Addiction.
In addition to her recurring role on “Married… With Children” as Sierra Madre, Cindyana also appeared on “CSI: Miami” and “ER,” and was featured in “Hollywood Homicide” alongside Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett, and numerous music videos.

Cindyana’s husband, Frank, expressed in court the profound impact of Adame’s actions, stating that the family had their lives “turned upside down” due to her death.
One of their sons, Dante, told the judge he was in Thailand when his mother passed away and remarked, “I did not expect this to happen in my wildest dreams.”
