Michelle Beadle Addresses Controversial Racial Slur Incident

On Friday, November 8, Michelle Beadle was hosting FanDuel TV’s ‘Run It Back’ alongside co-hosts Lou Williams and Chandler Parsons. A now-infamous clip has gone viral, capturing her unfortunate mispronunciation that led her to accidentally utter the N-word instead of “Nuggets” during a segment about the recent matchup between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat. This slip-up has ignited a wave of criticism across social media platforms.

In the video snippet, as she reads from her laptop, she mistakenly states, “Michael Porter Jr. recently said, ‘Aw I don’t like this, that if the n*a,’” then hesitating before completing with, “the Nuggets don’t win this…”

On Saturday, November 9, the day following the incident, Michelle Beadle took to her Instagram Stories to confront the fallout from her mistake. She shared a screenshot from the viral clip, which clearly displayed the shocked expressions of her co-hosts, Lou and Chandler, as the gravity of the situation sank in.

“The moment you mispronounce ‘Nuggets’ on live television, and suddenly your entire career flashes before your eyes… while your cohosts are in stitches. Broadcasting students: slow down. And communicate clearly,” Beadle humorously captioned her post.

Reactions from Co-Hosts Following Michelle’s Racial Slur

After the controversial remark, Michelle Beadle quickly glanced at her co-hosts, Lou Williams and Chandler Parsons, both of whom appeared visibly shaken by her comment. Undeterred, she continued discussing the game, asserting, “Don’t try to get me on that.”

Lou attempted to lighten the mood, chuckling as he responded, “You’re going to be in trouble today.” To which Michelle replied, “that’s not fair, it’s not even a thing… that’s not even a word.”
