There’s an almost magnetic quality to Tillman’s portrayal, marked by a smooth demeanor as he navigates the confines of the submarine and addresses his crew with genuine warmth. His charisma is complemented by his crewmate Kodiak, played by Katy O’Brian, who brings her own charm to the underwater camaraderie. Together, they create an engaging dynamic that makes the audience wish Ethan would abandon his mission and join them in their underwater escapades. This franchise has introduced myriad compelling characters, and it’s unfortunate that the plot pulls away from this intriguing submarine crew so quickly. I found myself wishing to follow Tillman’s captain on further adventures, simply for the delightful way he delivers the word “OK.”
