A bunch of Indianans got screwed out of comedy shows from Matt Rife this week — this right after he abruptly canceled two sold-out gigs … one thing he says he’s really sorry about.
The comic was scheduled to carry out two comedy shows Wednesday in Bloomington, IN — and according to reports on the ground … MR and co. pulled the plug on each of them really final-minute, apparently about 20 minutes or so right after the initially show was currently set to start out.

Of course, persons had been pissed and began firing away on social media … slamming Matt for the late heads-up, and had been added pissed considering the fact that these shows had currently been postponed from February.
Words is, the only explanation supplied to the theater-goers was a vague wellness scare — which Matt himself addressed on his Instagram account, exactly where he handed down an apology.
He wrote, “I am so f***ing sorry, but due to a final minute healthcare emergency i have to reschedule our shows tonight (once more). I’ve been undertaking 40+ shows a month for a year and half and by no means had to do one thing like this, I am so sorry.”
Matt adds, “i hope you fully grasp and i enjoy you so a great deal.” Though his mea culpa definitely felt sincere — and BTW, he does not cancel like this all that usually — it is unclear if people are accepting it.
Now, he did clarify that refunds would be issued and that he and his group are functioning on creating confident absolutely everyone gets their funds back … taking to Twitter to apologize but once more.
Couple takeaways from this — 1, MR’s 1 of the largest comedians in the game suitable now … so that is why persons are up in arms about it. The truth his shows had been sold out is a testament to how well-known he is … so him nixing a gig in the 11th hour is a large deal.

Though Matt’s mainly beloved … his tour hasn’t been with out controversy. Fortunately, this 1 is not about the material — just the timing. We’ve reached out to his group … no word back but.
