Lindsay Clancy Trial’s Sole Holdout Juror Reportedly Involved in Domestic Violence Allegations with an Active Restraining Order

The juror who stood alone in the Lindsay Clancy trial has been revealed to have a troubling history of alleged domestic violence against his family, as indicated by a recent investigative report.
Boston’s NBC10 conducted an investigation that, while not naming the juror, disclosed that he currently faces an active restraining order and is under the threat of eviction by his landlord.
This juror, who obstructed the jury’s path to a unanimous not guilty verdict, has a history of violence. He was previously charged with assault for allegedly choking his then-wife and throwing her against a dresser, though that charge was eventually dismissed, and the couple finalized their divorce.
In a concerning incident, the juror’s 13-year-old nephew called 911 after the juror allegedly assaulted him, leading to the nephew filing a restraining order against his uncle, as reported by NBC10.
According to NBC10’s report, the restraining order against the juror remained active throughout the duration of the Clancy trial.
Previously, we reported that fellow juror Nick Dargie disclosed to ABC News that the unnamed juror once used a water bottle to reenact how Clancy’s children were allegedly strangled.
Dargie expressed his shock at the juror’s behavior, stating, “I was shocked. It didn’t make any sense to me. We’re not here to play detective — it’s not a game of Clue. This is serious.”
Earlier reports indicated that Dargie revealed the holdout juror could not cite “a single piece of evidence or witness testimony” to justify his decision to diverge from the majority opinion of the jury.
In Massachusetts, the prosecution bears the burden of proof rather than the defense in criminal cases.
Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, is actively urging the judge to declare her not guilty due to a lack of criminal responsibility, asserting that the prosecution failed to demonstrate that she was legally accountable and in sound mental health at the time of her children’s tragic deaths.
