In a shocking incident, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, known for his role in “Home Improvement,” reportedly kicked a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy in the stomach, resulting in his detainment this week, according to sources at TMZ.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department reported that Jonathan was detained on charges of obstruction and public intoxication. He was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over around 12:30 AM on Monday in Malibu.
According to police reports, the vehicle Jonathan was in was obstructing traffic as it had stopped at the intersection.
The deputies instructed Jonathan to remain in the vehicle, but he refused to comply. This disobedience prompted a deputy to attempt to detain him, during which Jonathan allegedly kicked the deputy in the stomach, according to the LASD.
As reported first by TMZ, Jonathan was taken into custody on charges of obstruction and public intoxication. He was released from jail on Tuesday.
