As anticipation builds for the continuation of James Gunn’s DC Universe this June with Supergirl, one character stands out as particularly exciting. This character has yet to make an appearance in a live-action film, and many fans believed it would be nearly impossible to see him on the big screen. We are, of course, referring to Lobo.
For years, Hollywood has attempted to bring Lobo to life in a film, and on June 26, that dream becomes a reality. Who better to portray the wisecracking, ruthless bounty hunter than Jason Momoa? Fans have caught glimpses of him in the film’s trailers, and now, thanks to Hot Toys, we can admire Lobo in all his fierce glory. He’s equipped with all the iconic weapons, chains, and attitude that define his character. Here are some stunning images:
Hot Toys reveals, “This figure features a newly crafted head sculpt that captures detailed skin texture, movie-accurate makeup, and separate rolling eyeballs to recreate his intense, wild expressions. His mid-length black wavy hair is intricately sculpted, including strands of braids. To authentically represent Lobo’s imposing physique, the newly developed muscular body stands at approximately 33 cm tall and includes silicone arms with a seamless joint design, showcasing his raw, intimidating strength.”
What about his attire? Hot Toys explains, “Lobo’s multi-layered costume consists of a brown sleeveless coat with bendable wire for dynamic posing, and a meticulously detailed black genuine leather motorcycle vest decorated with silver spikes, gold buttons, and printed graphic details. His biker aesthetic is completed with a skull-buckle belt featuring real metal chains, fabric pants, various skull-themed armor pieces, and spiked footwear.”
You might be asking, can he deliver damage? Hot Toys assures, “Absolutely, the Main Man is armed to the teeth.” The figure includes his iconic chained hook with a real metal chain, brass knuckles, and a large knuckle for intense close-quarters combat. Completing the set is a rabbit’s foot accessory, multiple interchangeable gloved hands, and a specially designed figure base with an impressive backdrop for the ultimate display.”
