Are you looking to use a mouse and keyboard instead of a controller in Overwatch 2 on a console?

A mouse and keyboard are arguably easier to play than a controller, so it makes sense to use them.

Overwatch 2 was released on October 4, 2022.

Since its release, the game has had multiple known issues.

Some of the known issues are server disconnection, cosmetics, items, currency not showing up, and others.

In this guide, you’ll learn if Overwatch 2 supports a mouse and keyboard for Xbox, PS4, or PS5, and how to use them.

Does Overwatch 2 support mouse and keyboard for consoles?

Overwatch 2 only has partial support for a mouse and keyboard for consoles like Xbox, PS4, and PS5.

If you plug in your mouse and keyboard to your console (using an external adapter), it might not function properly.

For example, you can’t turn to the extreme right or do a 360-degree turn when you’re moving.

In addition, you won’t be able to look down fully in-game.

According to a Reddit user, if you’re playing with a PC player (in the same lobby as them), your mouse and keyboard will function properly.

However, other players said that this does not work after the latest update.

How to use mouse and keyboard in Overwatch 2 on Xbox

To use a mouse and keyboard in Overwatch 2 on Xbox, you need to plug them into an external adapter/USB hub.

Next, plug the adapter/hub into the Xbox USB port and the mouse/keyboard icon will show up in the game.

After you’ve connected them, you’ll only be able to carry out a few in-game actions.

For example, you’ll be able to use your keyboard to type.

However, you’ll have limited movement when you’re using the “WASD” keys on your keyboard or moving your mouse.

This is because Overwatch 2 does not fully support the use of a mouse and keyboard for consoles.

It’s extremely buggy and almost unplayable, so it’s not recommended.
