Upon the arrival of police deputies at the scene, they confirmed that the children—aged one, six, and ten—were indeed without adult supervision. A witness provided additional details to the officers, indicating that Chris Louis had been present with the children around 4:30 p.m. but had left them alone briefly. He reportedly returned for a short time before leaving again. The police apprehended him when he returned for the third time around 6:18 p.m., leading to his arrest.
