During an Instagram Stories session, Ayesha made it clear that she is tired of the negativity and urged people to direct their attention elsewhere. She expressed her frustration over the false narratives being spun about her, stating that she refrains from engaging with these “lies” not just for her own sake, but also to protect her daughter. Howard emphasized her commitment to defending her child against the ignorance and cold-heartedness that often permeates social media.
“Defending her of what’s been written, there’s no nice way to do it because people have been so ignorant and so cold-hearted towards a child,” Howard said.

In her poignant remarks, Howard highlighted the disparity in societal support for women’s reproductive rights, noting that while many rallied against political moves to ban abortions, her choice to have her daughter received a completely different reaction. This is particularly relevant as she has faced backlash over leaked text messages from Anthony Edwards urging her to consider abortion, which she bravely rejected. Ayesha feels that the intensified scrutiny she faces is primarily due to her associations—both with Anthony and also with rapper Lil Baby, the father of her first child, Jason.
“The second a woman decides to make a decision about her body and her child, y’all turn into weirdos. Do you want a man to tell you what to do with your body or not? Do you want the right or not?”
Moreover, Ayesha Howard expressed her concerns about the persistent allegations she faces online. She believes that being a mother with two successful partners, combined with her looks and figure, has unfortunately made her a target for accusations of being a “gold digger.” This stereotype is not only unfair but deeply frustrating for her, as it undermines her choices and her role as a mother.
“There’s no telling you guys that I’m not a gold digger,” she said. “The only thing that irritates me is I read comments that say ‘Oh you’re a gold digger or you kept the baby for a check.’ What if I came to y’alls pages right and I compared the men that you have children with to the men that I have children with? And I said, ‘You were digging for poverty when you picked him to be your baby daddy weren’t you?’ ‘Oh you kept that baby for an extra income tax credit didn’t you? Or you kept that baby for a couple extra hundred dollars in food stamps didn’t you? Or you kept that baby for your Section 8 voucher?’”
She stressed that the hurtful comments about her choices are reminiscent of the same feelings evoked by the derogatory “gold digger” remarks, which are equally triggering and unjust.
Latest Developments in Ayesha Howard & Anthony Edwards’ Child Support Case
Recent DNA testing has confirmed that Aubri Summer Edwards is indeed Anthony’s daughter, with the results coming in last December. By February, it was apparent that Edwards was not interested in pursuing custody or visitation rights for Aubri but instead focused on resolving his financial responsibilities. However, the specific amounts for child support have yet to be determined, as a judge is still deciding whether to hear the case in California, where Ayesha initially filed, or in Georgia, where Anthony has now filed.

She clarified that there are no official court documents or proceedings that support rumors about Anthony wanting to settle child support with a lump sum payment. On March 21, reports surfaced that the NBA player has filed another paternity and child support lawsuit involving Alexandria Desroches concerning their alleged one-year-old son, Amir. It seems that Anthony is seeking a ruling from a Georgia judge, asserting that their interactions took place in that state, which adds further complexity to his legal matters.
