Users of Threads can now enhance their profile bio section with digital stickers, offering a unique method to differentiate profiles within the app.
As demonstrated by Threads user @vlaad, individuals can now add both animated and static stickers to their bios. This update introduces exciting new presentation choices, potentially making Threads profiles much more vibrant and dynamic.,
This update builds on the earlier introduction of animated stickers in posts, a feature Threads rolled out earlier this year. Initially, users expressed enthusiasm for this feature, creating a variety of animated text using letter stickers. interest in that feature appears to have waned over time, raising questions about the longevity of this new update.
Nevertheless, since these stickers are located in the bio section, they are likely to remain visible for a longer duration. Users typically do not change their bios as frequently as other content.
This could lead to a resurgence of lively, animated profiles on Threads, reminiscent of the MySpace era, when animated graphics were a defining trend.
