The screenshot, which appeared to be dated May 7, 2022, captured Edwards reaching out to Howard with the message: “Wya”, an abbreviation often used to inquire about someone’s whereabouts. This brief interaction has sparked significant conversations online regarding the context and implications of such messages.
In addition to the screenshot, Howard included a poignant caption that aimed to clarify her perspective on their relationship.
“I don’t normally out my DMs, but please stop the narrative that I was ‘trapped’ or that it was a one-night stand. This man pursued me from 2022 until he won me over, leading to the birth of Aubri. He made all the choices [kissing emoji],” she expressed.

Subsequently, in February, In Touch Weekly reported that Edwards informed the court that he was not “seeking child custody or visitation of Aubri.” This statement indicated his intention to limit his involvement in the child’s life, focusing solely on financial obligations instead.
“Thus, the only matters that need resolution are related to financial support,” he reportedly stated during the proceedings.
Earlier this week, the media outlet highlighted that Howard’s and Edwards’ case remains active as Howard has allegedly initiated her own paternity case in California, further complicating their situation.
