Poorna Jagannathan and Gary Carr have been cast in the highly anticipated adaptation of Lars Keppler’s thrilling Joona Linna book series, set to premiere on Apple TV+. This adaptation promises to bring gripping storytelling and intense character development to the screen.

According to the official synopsis, the series follows Jonah Lynn (Liev Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who, feeling stagnant in his role while navigating the gritty streets of Philadelphia, relocates to a serene small town in Western Pennsylvania seeking a peaceful existence. However, tranquility quickly evaporates as Jonah and his family find themselves under siege by the cunning and malevolent serial killer Jurek Walter (Stephen Graham). As Jonah races against time to protect what he loves most, the desperate search for Jurek’s final missing victim compels him to enlist the help of his adopted daughter, FBI agent Saga Bauer (Zazie Beetz). The stakes are high—how far will Jonah go to save his family?

Gary Carr, known for his roles in Genius: MLK/X, The Peripheral, and 21 Bridges, is set to portray Nathan, a dedicated forensic investigator who is deeply loyal to Jonah but must also contend with his complicated feelings for Saga. Meanwhile, Poorna Jagannathan, recognized for her performances in Deli Boys, Lanterns, and Wolfs, will take on the role of Quinn, an FBI agent from Washington D.C. who relies on Jonah’s expertise to navigate the insular small-town dynamics while grappling with her own personal challenges.

Poorna Jagannathan is represented by Gersh, Untitled, and Hansen Jacobson Teller, while Gary Carr is repped by Anonymous Content, CAA, and Markham, Froggatt & Irwin. Their talented representation reflects the high expectations surrounding this project and the impressive credentials of the cast.
