Apple TV’s Neuromancer Adaptation: An Exciting First Look

The Apple TV series inspired by William Gibson’s groundbreaking 1984 cyberpunk novel, Neuromancer, will premiere on the streaming platform on January 22 next year. This exciting news was revealed during San Diego Comic-Con, along with the first official teaser. The cast of Neuromancer features talented actors such as Callum Turner, Briana Middleton, Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Peter Sarsgaard, and Clémence Poésy.

According to Apple, “‘Neuromancer’ tells the story of Case (Turner), a disillusioned elite hacker who becomes embroiled in a dangerous world of digital espionage and high-stakes crime. He teams up with Molly (Middleton), a lethal assassin known as a razor-girl, to execute a heist on a powerful corporate empire hiding dark secrets.” The series will consist of ten episodes, following a weekly release schedule. The first two episodes will premiere on January 22, with subsequent episodes released weekly until March 19. Given Apple’s recent success in the sci-fi genre, expectations are high for this adaptation.

Gibson, who serves as one of the executive producers for the series, appears to be pleased with the adaptation’s progress. In a post shared on Bluesky, he expressed, “Anyone who doesn’t see how very satisfied I’ve been throughout production doesn’t understand what I most desire from an adaptation [sic]. That said, such reactions can be quite common.”
