Have you heard about the latest leak from Brazil? Reports indicate that the Brazilian regulatory agency Anatel has unintentionally released images of the Xbox Elite Controller 3. These images have since been shared by the local tech outlet Tecnoblog and subsequently picked up by The Verge.
The leaked specifications suggest several exciting enhancements for this controller. Notably, it appears to feature two thumb-controlled scroll wheels located at the bottom. a new pairing button on the front allows users to toggle between local and cloud gaming modes. The D-pad has undergone a redesign, and it seems the gamepad will finally transition to using a removable, rechargeable battery.
Tecnoblog If this situation rings a bell, it’s because Tecnoblog also unveiled leaked images of another Xbox accessory earlier today. This previous leak featured a compact gamepad, rumored to be an upcoming Xbox Cloud Gaming controller.
It’s been a considerable amount of time since Xbox updated the Elite controller lineup. The second generation of this controller launched in 2019, and customization options became available through the Design Lab in 2022. With at least one national regulator reviewing the device, it’s likely that this product is nearing its release date. Xbox’s major summer showcase is just around the corner, but given the recent leaks, Microsoft may decide to make an official announcement sooner than expected.
