Jennifer tied the knot with Marc just months after her initial separation from Ben Affleck in June 2004, although they ultimately divorced in 2014. The couple had a past romantic history and had collaborated on the Spanish duet “No Me Ames” from her debut album On The 6 in 1999. Three years following their secret wedding, the Maid In Manhattan star revealed her pregnancy on November 8, 2007.

At the time, the 38-year-old shared the joyful news during the El Cantante Tour with Marc in Miami, amidst rampant speculation. “Marc and I are expecting a baby!” she exclaimed as Marc tenderly cradled her baby bump. “We are thrilled…This moment is truly special for us. We chose to wait until the last show to share this with you,” she added.
Just weeks before the twins’ arrival, J.Lo’s father, David Lopez, disclosed that his daughter was expecting not just one, but two babies. “Yes, twins…It runs in our family; my sister also had twins, so it’s hereditary,” he revealed on the Spanish-language show Escéndalo TV. “I’m incredibly proud. Jennifer has longed to be a mother for many years.”
The singer of This Is Me…Then welcomed Max and Emme on February 22, 2008, in Long Island, New York. The world waited just four weeks for their first glimpse, as the twins graced the cover of the March 2008 issue of PEOPLE magazine in an exclusive feature.
Years later, Jennifer shared her feelings about discovering her pregnancy with twins in a YouTube video titled Twin Talk, featuring her now 11-year-old kids. “When I found out I was pregnant, I was in Portugal for a major show, having just returned from a two-day trip. While sitting in my hair and makeup trailer, I felt a flutter in my belly. It felt like a tiny butterfly, and I immediately knew I had life within me. I understood it instantly,” she shared with them.

It was during a doctor’s visit that she received the confirmation. “The doctor pointed out, you see that tiny grain of rice? That’s the first baby. And this other little grain of rice over here? That’s the second baby,” she recounted. “I was in disbelief and burst into laughter. I just couldn’t believe it. That was how I learned I was having twins.”
