“It was me and Joe Kelly [who] who wrote it, and we found ourselves on a train,” Brett shared with E! News as the release approached. “While we were working on Ted Lasso, we traveled from Manchester to London, brainstorming ideas. We wanted to create something special together. Our vision was to develop an old-fashioned rom-com. We both agreed that the ultimate rom-com star is J.Lo. That’s how the idea came to life; we aimed to craft the perfect rom-com for her.”
Jennifer expressed her surprise at being the inspiration behind the script. “It’s one thing for someone to write something and think, ‘Oh, she’d be great for that.’ But to have it written with you specifically in mind is truly flattering,” she remarked.
