Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Event Swifties Clash with Local Pub Forced to Close During Celebration

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce hosted a lavish wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden, which unintentionally impacted local businesses. When one pub voiced its concerns, Swifties reacted strongly.
A local business owner located on West 31st Street informed TMZ that he had to close his establishment from Friday evening through much of Saturday because of the wedding. Initially, he was told that the sidewalk would remain accessible for pedestrians, which he found manageable. at the last moment, he was informed that the entire area would be shut down.
After the bar announced the sudden changes via social media, Swifties aggressively criticized them. Many fans felt that the financial loss to the business was insignificant compared to Taylor’s celebrated “Love Story” and insisted that the pub refrain from criticizing the singer.
The backlash continued with review bombings targeting the establishment. Swifties attempted to lower the pub’s ratings, labeling the owner as “a real piece of work” for voicing his complaints about the wedding’s impact, accusing him of “looking for a handout” simply because he wasn’t invited to the celebrity event.
Before the grand celebration, TMZ spoke with various bar and restaurant owners near Madison Square Garden, all of whom expressed concerns that the wedding would negatively affect their earnings. They were apprehensive about the potential losses during what would typically be a lucrative holiday weekend.
It’s ironic that Swifties targeted the business since so few of them actually attended the wedding at Madison Square Garden. A different business owner shared with TMZ that it was amusing to see how they were promised an influx of fans, while in reality, the media presence far exceeded that of the fans themselves.
In a surprising twist, the couple did not reach out to the local business affected by their wedding. The owner lamented to TMZ that they were simply left out of the conversation.
Despite the controversy, there’s a silver lining as Bon Jovi is scheduled to perform at the Garden tonight, and his fans are known for their enthusiastic celebrations!
