Sky Glass, renowned for its all-in-one design, features a six-speaker sound bar alongside a stunning 4K Quantum Dot Display. Launched in late 2021, it has now been succeeded by the Sky Glass Gen 2. This latest iteration boasts significant enhancements, particularly in sound quality, which now includes a state-of-the-art seven-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system complemented by a newly integrated dual sub-woofer. This upgrade promises an immersive audio experience, making it perfect for movie nights or binge-watching your favorite series.
The second-generation Sky Glass model introduces a brighter 4K Quantum Dot display that enhances color vibrancy and clarity, along with a wider viewing angle and improved contrast ratios. The overall design has been refined, featuring a newly designed stand that seamlessly slots into the TV without the need for additional hardware like nuts and bolts. Furthermore, it is now compatible with universal wall mounts, offering more flexibility for setup in any living space.
Despite these upgrades, many attributes remain consistent between the new and previous models. The core features still include an extensive library of Sky Originals and Sky Exclusives, along with access to popular streaming applications like BBC iPlayer and Netflix. The new model retains the convenient Playlist feature, which allows users to curate their favorite shows and movies into a dedicated tab for easy access. Additionally, customers can still choose from 43-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch sizes, while the Gen 2 is now available in three fresh colors: Volcanic Grey, Arctic Silver, and Atlantic Blue.
The pricing for the Sky Glass Gen 2 models is as follows: the 43-inch version is available for £699, the 55-inch model is priced at £949, and the 65-inch option comes in at £1,199. With these competitive prices and advanced features, the new model is an enticing choice for anyone looking to elevate their home entertainment experience.
