‘Harmony’ overview: Sorry to say it, however it’s a flop
If you happen to’ve been following together with Harmony‘s story, this consequence is as unhappy because it was inevitable. First introduced again in Could, Harmony was the results of years of labor by Firewalk, a brand new studio fashioned by business veterans. Nevertheless, from minute one, fan reactions to the reveal have been pretty muted — and a beta later in the summertime did not do a lot to ratchet up participant enthusiasm.
Opinions praised the gunplay when it launched on Aug. 23, however famous the generic artwork type and the broad outdated-ness of an Overwatch-style sport launching within the period of Fortnite. All of that, mixed with a $40 worth level, led to staggeringly low gross sales throughout each PlayStation and PC. And two weeks later, it was throughout.
The PlayStation Weblog publish is imprecise about what’s subsequent for Harmony. The more than likely reply is “nothing,” however the publish did go away a door open for some type of return down the road. As all the time, hopefully no one loses their job over this.
