Michigan police have identified a woman, rumored to be Casharra Brown, who was recorded on camera throwing hot coffee at a McDonald’s employee.

What Happened in the Coffee Incident at McDonald’s?

According to Fox News, the incident occurred on the morning of Wednesday, November 4. The woman reportedly ordered food using the McDonald’s app. However, per the outlet, she “did not provide her name or payment information when submitting the order.”

Furthermore, Fox News reports that the woman was allegedly dissatisfied with two items included in her meal and proceeded to speak with the location’s manager. To note, TMZ reports that the woman was upset that her order had been canceled and would have a 48-hour refund process. In turn, the manager allegedly offered her a coffee “in an attempt to calm her.” Ultimately, their interaction became heated, and footage captured the woman removing the lid of the coffee cup and throwing the drink at the manager.

The woman’s actions arrived as the manager was seen walking away. Furthermore, as the manager screamed, the woman left the building. Notably, the Buena Vista Police Department shared footage of the incident on Facebook the same day. Initially, the department asked for help in identifying the woman, per ABC7 Chicago. However, shortly after sharing the footage, the department noted that it had “the suspect identified.”

What’s Known About Casharra Brown and the Incident?

At this time, the Buena Vista Police Department has not shared a follow-up post identifying the woman, rumored to be Casharra Brown. However, Fox News and multiple outlets have shared the aforementioned identification. Meanwhile, the McDonald’s manager has opted not to be publicly identified. Furthermore, after the incident, she reportedly sustained minor injuries. However, she was not treated at a hospital.

Per the New York Post, a warrant was subsequently issued for the woman’s arrest. ABC7 Chicago adds that felony charges against her have been recommended. Furthermore, the outlet notes that as of Sunday, November 9, the woman was on the run from authorities.
