Mixtape is a coming-of-age story concerning the reality-bending adventures of three teenage associates on their closing evening of highschool, that includes a soundtrack of traditional punk and different hits. It is as a result of hit Xbox Collection X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC in 2025, and it will be out there day-one on Xbox Recreation Move.
Mixtape follows three associates on their approach to their closing highschool social gathering, as they relive their glory days to the tunes of a superbly curated playlist. Their recollections seem in dreamlike sequences, that includes songs by Iggy Pop, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Pleasure Division, DEVO, The Smashing Pumpkins and different old-school hit makers.
The principle trio in Mixtape present loads of teenage sass within the recreation’s reveal trailer, and its artwork type looks like one thing between stop-motion and cel-shaded cinematics. It is a welcoming, trendy world. The Mixtape microsite contains the mantra, “Skate. Social gathering. Keep away from the legislation. Make out. Sneak out. Hang around.” Feels like highschool to me.
Mixtape comes from Beethoven & Dinosaur, the studio behind the musical journey The Clever Escape and fronted by Australian rockstar Johnny Galvatron. It is printed by Annapurna Interactive.
