This article discusses the aftermath of the College Football Playoff National Championship where emotions ran high.
Fletcher’s actions sparked chaos after Indiana stunned Miami with a 27-21 victory at Hard Rock Stadium.
- Fletcher ran for 112 yards and scored two touchdowns.
- He was the first running back to break the century mark against Indiana’s top-ranked defense.
- Fletcher’s punch directed at Tyrique Tucker escalated tensions postgame.
Despite his impressive performance, Fletcher’s night ended poorly due to the altercation.
According to The Herald-Times, Tucker described the incident, stating, “That was a cheap punch. Luckily, we got the win.”
Emotions were high following the brutal loss, leading to Fletcher’s outburst.
Fletcher, weighing 225 pounds, was undeterred by the size difference with the 302-pound Tucker.
Despite the altercation, Fletcher was seen congratulating Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza postgame, saying, “I’m so proud of you.”
