Tenisha Warner, the widow of Malcolm-Jamal Warner, is publicly criticizing the late actor’s mother, Pamela Warner, as their family feud intensifies regarding his estate. This conflict has escalated, particularly over a real estate deal involving his former mansion.
Recent legal documents acquired by TMZ reveal that Tenisha asserts Malcolm never intended to exclude her or their daughter, MacKenzie, from the family trust.
Tenisha claims that Malcolm’s intention was to bequeath his family’s California residence to her and MacKenzie. she argues that Pamela sold the property and redirected the proceeds into the trust.
In her court filing, Tenisha emphasizes that the home was significant for MacKenzie, as it is where she formed “the core memories of her father.”
Real estate records indicate that the Studio City property, which belonged to Malcolm at the time of his passing, was sold in May 2026 for a sum of $1.6 million.
Tenisha contests Pamela’s assertion that she has been uncooperative in the estate dispute, claiming instead that she has merely resisted “unfair pressure and tactics.”
While Tenisha acknowledges that Pamela proposed an alternative home in Georgia for her and MacKenzie, she argues that the property carries a $700,000 mortgage and does not meet their needs for proper support from Malcolm’s estate.
Tenisha claims that Pamela ceased utilizing funds from Malcolm’s estate to cover her monthly expenses. She asserts that she put her career on hold to care for MacKenzie and support Malcolm during his life, insisting that he intended to provide for her in the end.
As reported by TMZ, the conflict within the family began when Tenisha initiated legal action against Pamela, seeking court intervention to include MacKenzie in the family trust.
In a turn of events, Pamela bypassed Tenisha and negotiated with MacKenzie’s court-appointed guardian, resulting in a settlement that will secure millions for MacKenzie.
Malcolm passed away in July 2025 at the age of 54.
