Exciting news for fans of the beloved animated series! “Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert” continues its successful tour, celebrating the show’s 20th anniversary. Meanwhile, an exciting new event is on the horizon for fans of its sequel. “The Legend of Korra in Concert,” commemorating the series’ 15th anniversary, is set to tour in 2027.
This upcoming concert promises to be a stunning live performance, described by a press release as “a breathtaking live concert experience that brings the groundbreaking sequel to life through a live symphonic performance paired with an immersive cinematic experience.” The show will follow Korra, the determined successor to Aang, as she navigates a world on the verge of revolution, accompanied by key characters Asami, Bolin, Mako, and Tenzin.
The concert features the musical talents of composer Jeremy Zuckerman and editor Jeff Adams, both of whom contributed to Legend of Korra. This two-hour visual journey will present the series in chronological order across all four seasons, displayed on a large cinema screen. Audiences can anticipate the original dialogue and sound effects alongside a powerful live orchestra performing the iconic score in perfect harmony with the on-screen action.
In the release, Zuckerman shared his enthusiasm for showcasing his Avatar musical universe once again. He noted, “The music of The Legend of Korra explores a very different emotional and musical landscape than Avatar: The Last Airbender, blending orchestral, jazz, and electronic influences to reflect Korra’s more modern world. Hearing that score performed live brings a new level of energy to the music and allows audiences to experience the story in a completely different way.”
Tickets will be available for purchase starting July 17 on the official website, with performances kicking off in January 2027. The U.S. leg will cover 20 cities, beginning on January 10, while European fans can look forward to a 10-city engagement starting January 31.
