In this guide, you’ll learn what are player icons and how to earn, get, or unlock player icons in Overwatch 2.
What are Overwatch 2 player icons?
Overwatch 2 player icons are icons that you can display on your profile.
Player icons are displayed when you visit a player’s profile.
You can change your icon by navigating to your career profile and selecting “Customizations”.
Icons that are unlocked will be displayed in the grid list.
Silhouette icons are locked and you can unlock them through challenges and the Battle Pass.
How to unlock Overwatch 2 player icons
To unlock Overwatch 2 player icons, you need to progress through the Battle Pass.
You can also unlock icons by completing lifetime challenges.
There will be a new Battle Pass each season with unique player icons that you can unlock.
In the season 1 Battle Pass, the “Cybermari” icon can be unlocked for free at level 2.
However, there are player icons that can be only unlocked if you’ve paid for the Premium Battle Pass.
Other icons can be unlocked by completing lifetime challenges.
This includes “The Captain Returns”, “Strike Commander Chase”, “Born to Rule”, and others.
Completing these challenges will unlock the “Sojourn”, “Maple Leaf”, and “Junker Queen” icons respectively.
