Previously, notification summaries were signified by a minimal icon; however, the new system enhances clarity by italicizing the entire summary and displaying a bold “Summarized by Apple Intelligence” label below each AI-generated recap. This adjustment seeks to improve user awareness of the sources of their information.
Apple appears committed to encouraging the use of Apple Intelligence across compatible devices, as the new iOS 18.3 update activates various AI features by default during the initial setup process. Users who wish to opt out can easily do so by navigating to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri and toggling off the relevant option.
Beyond these notable changes, iOS 18.3 also includes subtle enhancements, such as improved visual intelligence capabilities that allow users to create calendar events by scanning posters or flyers.
