Are you looking to turn off crossplay in Overwatch 2?
If you’re playing on a console, turning off crossplay will ensure that you’re only playing against other console players.
Overwatch 2 was released on October 4, 2022.
Since its release, the game has had multiple known issues.
Some of the known issues are server disconnection, cosmetics, items, currency not showing up, and others.
In this guide, you’ll learn if you can disable crossplay and how to turn off crossplay in Overwatch 2 for Xbox, PS4, and PS5.
Can you turn off crossplay in Overwatch 2?
Yes, you can turn off crossplay in Overwatch 2 for both Xbox and PlayStation (PS4/PS5).
However, you cannot turn off crossplay for the PC version of the game.
For PC players, crossplay is enabled by default and you can’t disable it.
For consoles like Xbox and PlayStation, crossplay is also enabled by default.
This means that you’ll have a chance of joining a PC lobby.
A PC lobby is unfair because you’ll be playing against mouse and keyboard players while you’re using a controller.
Hence, it makes sense to disable crossplay to prevent your opponent from having an edge over you.
