The innovative Gmail feature “Help me write,” which serves as a AI-powered assistant for composing your emails, is a highly beneficial tool. However, users have noted that it sometimes lacks the personal touch that reflects their unique voice.
This situation is set to improve significantly. In a recent blog update published on Thursday, Google announced the introduction of two major personalization enhancements to its Gemini-powered Gmail tool.
You can now change your Gmail username. Here’s how to do it.
One of the exciting new features is topic contextualization. This functionality connects Gmail with your Google Drive, allowing the assistant to gather relevant information based on your prompt. It then seamlessly integrates this data into your email drafts, creating content that is personalized and contextually relevant.

The second enhancement focuses on tone and style personalization, which allows the AI to draft emails that reflect the tone and style of your previous correspondence. This ensures that your emails maintain consistency and sound more like you, enhancing the overall communication experience.

For instance, in a scenario provided by Google, a user drafting an email about recent influencer campaign launches can rely on the AI to retrieve actual names of the campaigns directly from Google Drive files. The assistant can also pull in performance data from past emails, creating a draft that is not only informative but also maintains a more casual and friendly tone.
Initially announced in February, these updates are now being rolled out to various user tiers, including Business Starter, Standard, and Plus, as well as Enterprise Starter, Standard, and Plus. Additionally, the enhancements are available for Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra consumer-grade users, along with those using the Google AI Pro for Education suite.
