Friends of Nolan Speak Out Amid Online Harassment
As speculation continues to swirl online, several individuals connected to Nolan Wells have reported experiencing threats and harassment. Tracestin Shepherd, a close friend of Nolan, revealed that he and others present during the Fourth of July outing received alarming messages online.
“We’re all young adults navigating adulthood and life’s challenges,” Shepherd expressed in an interview with ABC News’ Aaron Katersky on ‘Good Morning America.’ “We haven’t done anything wrong, and we’re confused by the overwhelming negativity directed at us.” Other community members have chosen to retreat from social media due to the backlash. Ashlee Cole, a local judge whose son was part of the group with Nolan, mentioned that she temporarily deactivated her account due to concerns over threats and the distribution of her family’s images online.
Attorney Ben Crump Announces Case Will Proceed to Grand Jury
Attorney Ben Crump, representing Nolan’s parents, stated after discussions with the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office that the investigation will advance to a grand jury once the sheriff’s inquiry concludes. Crump emphasized the importance of presenting all relevant evidence and witness testimonies to ensure the grand jury can thoroughly and fairly assess the case. Meanwhile, Nolan’s family is preparing to commemorate his life, with funeral services set for July 20 at Center Pointe Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
