2:32 PM PT — A representative from the Baltimore Ravens has informed TMZ, stating, “We are aware of the situation involving Rashod and have been in direct communication with him. We have notified the league office and are fully cooperating during this process. As this is an ongoing legal matter, we will refrain from further comments.”
The NFL athlete Rashod Bateman is facing accusations of domestic violence in Georgia after allegedly vandalizing his baby mama’s car while their 3-month-old child was inside, as reported by TMZ.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the alleged victim reported that the incident took place around 6 AM on June 3.
Law enforcement officials assert that Rashod employed an object to shatter the windshield and driver’s side window of the alleged victim’s 2021 Mercedes-Benz.
The arrest warrant indicates that the shattered glass inflicted several small cuts on the alleged victim’s face. Officers observed pieces of glass embedded in her skin while speaking to her, as well as multiple bruises on her face.
The documents reveal that their 3-month-old child was secured in a car seat in the back seat during the incident.
Rashod’s legal representatives state that the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver turned himself in to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office on the same day as the incident.
Weeks later, Rashod petitioned the court to lift the no-contact order, arguing that the alleged victim expressed a desire to communicate with him. The court agreed to the request but maintained a restriction against any violent interactions.
The judge has mandated that Rashod may visit his baby mama once he completes a designated class.
The legal proceedings are still in progress.
We have reached out to the Ravens and Rashod’s representatives for comments; however, we have yet to receive a response.
