Adam Samida Enters No Contest Plea in McDonald’s Shooting Incident
Recent reports reveal that 25-year-old Adam Samida has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges, including carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct with a deadly weapon. These charges originate from an incident on October 29, 2025, at a McDonald’s in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where a disagreement between Samida and his manager escalated into violence, culminating in a firearm being discharged.
Workplace Dispute Transforms into a Dangerous Confrontation
According to a criminal complaint obtained by the Oshkosh Northwestern, the conflict began when a manager informed a coworker that he intended to send Adam Samida home for “not appearing to fulfill his duties.” Earlier, the manager had overheard Samida voicing complaints about his wages and allegedly making a remark about robbing the establishment. Although the manager did not perceive this remark as a serious threat at the time, tensions escalated when Samida refused to leave after being instructed to do so, resulting in a heated exchange where he allegedly challenged his manager to “meet him outside.”
Surveillance footage revealed that the manager attempted to physically prevent Samida from exiting the restaurant by grabbing him. During this confrontation, both individuals exchanged threats, with the manager stating, “I will beat your a—” and “I will whoop your a—, boy.” The complaint further details that the manager “bear-hugged” Samida, tackled him to the ground, and forcibly removed him from a bathroom during the ensuing struggle.
Key Developments in the Altercation
During the chaotic encounter, Adam Samida reportedly drew a firearm from his waistband and shot the manager in the foot. The two continued to grapple briefly until Samida managed to break free and exit the restaurant. Law enforcement responded to the McDonald’s following reports of a weapon being discharged, located Samida at the scene, and he complied with officers by displaying the firearm before being taken into custody.
