Chris Brown faces a substantial financial judgment after a jury found him responsible for his ex-housekeeper’s injuries resulting from a brutal dog attack on his property, according to reports from TMZ.
The jury reached their verdict on Tuesday after an extensive trial involving testimony from both Chris and Maria Avila.
Maria alleged that Chris acted negligently by permitting the large dog to roam freely in the backyard, where she claims she was attacked while taking out the trash. In his defense, Chris asserted that Maria provoked the dog, which led to her injuries.
During the court proceedings, Maria described the aftermath of the attack, stating she was left covered in blood. Chris admitted he did not personally call 911, as he was concerned that the call might become public. a member of his team made the emergency call.
Maria initially sought $90 million in damages from the singer for her injuries.
