The family of Celeste Rivas continues to grapple with the shocking allegations against D4vd. Their attorney informed TMZ that they are struggling to comprehend why he would allegedly use a chainsaw on their beloved daughter.
We spoke with family attorney Patrick Steinfeld outside the courthouse on Wednesday, following another emotionally charged day of testimony in D4vd’s preliminary hearing. He expressed that Celeste’s family feels “disheartened and broken,” emphasizing their relentless search for answers that may remain elusive.
Attorney Steinfeld stated that the family is struggling to understand why D4vd would allegedly mutilate Celeste’s body after her tragic death, expressing, “They can’t comprehend why he would take a chainsaw to their beautiful girl.”
Despite the emotional testimony presented, Steinfeld remarked that Wednesday was slightly more bearable than Tuesday, when graphic crime scene photographs deeply affected Celeste’s mother, causing her to weep uncontrollably in the courtroom.
Regarding the family’s decision to leave court early on Wednesday, Steinfeld explained they aimed to conserve their emotional strength in preparation for Thursday’s testimony from the medical examiner, who is anticipated to provide even more detailed insights into the condition of Celeste’s body.
Steinfeld mentioned that the family faced an incredibly challenging day on Tuesday and is aware that Thursday will present even greater difficulties once the medical examiner testifies. They made the hard choice to leave early to mentally prepare for the challenges ahead.
