The fraternity brothers behind the sensational ASU performance of The Chainsmokers—the one that drew police attention this past weekend—revealed to TMZ that the entire event was a whirlwind from the very start. They described how the frantic effort to get everything organized turned into a last-minute scramble, making the planning process quite chaotic.

The president of ASU’s Phi Gamma Delta chapter, also known as FIJI, along with fellow board members, disclosed to TMZ that their initial venue for the event fell through due to a plumbing disaster that resulted in significant flooding just days before the bash. This unexpected situation forced them to quickly relocate all of their equipment and make a rapid pivot to ensure the event could still take place.

According to the fraternity members, the event was so hastily organized that it wasn’t officially confirmed until just 16 hours prior to the start time. To complicate matters further, police had already arrived at the scene before the party even began, adding to the tension and excitement surrounding the last-minute event.

Regarding the fine imposed by law enforcement, sources confirmed to TMZ that The Chainsmokers, comprised of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, are graciously covering the cost of the citation. The fraternity expressed immense gratitude, as the fine could have ranged anywhere from $1,000 to $2,500, a significant amount for the group.

Despite the overwhelming chaos, Jonas McAllister, who was instrumental in bringing the celebrity duo to campus through his work at a booking agency, reported to us that everything eventually fell into place perfectly.
