Faces Charges Involving Sexual Activity With a Minor

Joseph Duggar, a notable figure from “19 Kids and Counting,” has been arrested in Florida. He faces charges for lewd and lascivious behavior involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor, as reported by TMZ.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office released a statement indicating that a 14-year-old victim reported multiple incidents involving the 31-year-old Duggar. These incidents allegedly occurred during a family vacation in Panama City Beach when the victim was only 9 years old.
The Sheriff’s Office detailed that the alleged incidents took place in 2020. The victim stated that Duggar repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap, later asking her to sit next to him on a couch while covering them with a blanket.
During the investigation, it was revealed that while under the blanket, Duggar allegedly manipulated the victim’s underwear and grazed her genitals. He also reportedly rubbed his hands on her thighs.
Investigators reported that Duggar apologized to the victim afterward. However, the victim’s father confronted him about the alleged incident on March 17, 2026.
According to police reports, Duggar admitted to his actions. He was subsequently arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim under 12 years old, as well as lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person aged 18 or older.
It is important to note that Joseph’s brother, Josh Duggar, was arrested back in April 2021. He faced charges for receiving and possessing child pornography and was found guilty on all counts.
