Bart Edmiston Jr.’s Attorney Labels “Enhanced” Sea Tow Dispatch Audio As “Manipulated”
TMZ reports that Russell Latino recently appeared on ‘News Nation’ with Chris Cuomo, discussing the controversial “enhanced” Sea Tow audio that has gained traction on social media platforms.
“We find no credibility in a manipulated transcript or audio that is presented with a transcript, which is a clever psychological trick that some play with distorted audio. My client was involved in assisting with the audio from a boat that was reported to be in distress. Over 20 individuals were present between those two boats. They all witnessed the events. There were at least two reliable witnesses who observed Nolan Wells on Horn Island an hour and a half after those boats departed. My client has been compliant with authorities from the outset,” Latino emphasized.
Latino asserts that Bart Edmiston provided evidence and responded to every inquiry from law enforcement. He further expressed concern over the rampant fabrication of details surrounding the case. “People are wildly creating false narratives. The result is that individuals are living in real fear for their safety,” Latino explained.

Warren Hudson’s Father Plans Legal Action Against Ben Crump During Nolan Wells Investigation
While Bart Edmiston Jr.’s attorney appeared on Chris Cuomo’s show, Warren Hudson’s father, Bart Hudson, spoke with The New York Post. In an exclusive interview published on July 30, Bart stated, “…The truth is not Ben Crump’s priority. He’s capitalizing on this tragedy for financial gain. It feels like he is exploiting this whole situation, turning it into a greater tragedy that affects both my family and our community, as well as the Wells family.”
Bart indicated that he and other families are considering legal action against Ben Crump for defamation and slander.
“In my view, Ben Crump has falsely accused my son and his friends of murder, promoting a clearly false narrative. I anticipate lawsuits not just from my family but from several other families he has defamed,” he asserted.
Bart Hudson criticized Reverend Al Sharpton’s involvement in the case, calling it a pursuit for “political advantage.”
“My family, the Wells-Wonsley family, and the relatives of all these other young people are being manipulated by figures like Al Sharpton and Ben Crump, as well as media outlets, to gain political leverage ahead of the midterm elections,” he remarked.
Bart confirmed that he and other families received spoliation notices on behalf of Crump. As previously reported by The Shade Room, these notices were sent out on the day of Nolan Wells’ funeral, signaling impending litigation and requesting the preservation of evidence related to the case.
“I was deeply disappointed that they turned the funeral into a political event. How could our children attend when there was a $100,000 bounty placed on my son and his friends, falsely alleging that they murdered their best friend? My son is just 19, trying to process the loss of his friend while facing death threats and being labeled a racist and a murderer. The reality couldn’t be more different,” Bart added.

“This is a distraction; we remain focused and undeterred. Our goal is to uncover the truth, and that is our primary concern. We have only sought answers to get to the truth,” he reportedly stated to the media.
