If you are anticipating your Siri AI settlement payment from Apple, which could reach up to $95, be prepared for a longer wait than expected.

Last month, Apple’s settlement in the class action lawsuit related to Siri AI received preliminary approval. Recent court documents reveal that the final approval hearing is now set for February 24, 2027. This date is actually seven months earlier than the previously scheduled date of September 29, 2027. payments will not be processed immediately. Following the court’s approval of the settlement, it usually takes several months for consumers to receive their payments, particularly while appeals are handled and eligible claims are validated.

In 2024, Apple aggressively advertised new features under the banner of Apple Intelligence, which included a more tailored, AI-driven version of Siri. these features were not ready for launch, leading Apple to postpone their release. This prompted multiple class action lawsuits against Apple, alleging that the company misrepresented these AI enhancements as a key incentive for purchasing the latest iPhone. these lawsuits were consolidated into a single class action suit.

By May 2026, Apple agreed to a $250 million settlement, while asserting no wrongdoing on their part.

Under the terms of the settlement, eligible consumers can expect to receive between approximately $25 and $95, although this amount may vary based on the total number of claims and other considerations.

To be eligible, consumers must have purchased an iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, or iPhone 15 Pro Max during the period from June 10, 2024, to March 29, 2025.

At this moment, the claims website for the settlement is not operational, so eligible consumers do not need to take any action yet. Once the claims process opens, class members will receive detailed instructions via email or postal mail.

This year at WWDC, Apple finally introduced the updated Siri AI, which is currently undergoing testing in the iOS 27 beta versions. Apple has announced that it will be more widely available as a beta later this year. Nonetheless, these delays have proven to be financially detrimental for Apple.
