Taylor Parker Why Did Taylor Parker Refuse to Sleep in Her Prison Bed?
Published
Taylor Parker has a surprisingly minimal disciplinary record while incarcerated, with only one report detailing her choice to sleep on the floor instead of using her mattress, according to sources at TMZ.
Jail documentation obtained by TMZ indicates that Parker received a write-up for allegedly disobeying a direct order from a correctional officer.
The report notes that the officer instructed Parker to refrain from sleeping on the floor with her mattress, but she reportedly “failed to comply with the order.”
Interestingly, this solitary incident constitutes her entire record of alleged infractions. There are no accusations of violence, threats, fighting, or possession of contraband, painting Parker as a relatively model inmate.
It is important to clarify that a conduct report is an officer’s account of an alleged rule violation and does not equate to a formal criminal charge.
As previously reported, prosecutors have accused Taylor of murdering her friend Reagan Simmons-Hancock, who was more than eight months pregnant, and performing a makeshift C-section to remove the unborn child.
Prosecutors claim that Taylor intended to pass off Reagan’s baby as her own after pretending to be pregnant for several months. Tragically, the stolen infant was pronounced dead shortly after authorities located Taylor.
Recently uncovered body-cam footage from her case depicts the convicted murderer in an Oklahoma hospital, desperately attempting to persuade officers that she had just given birth after killing Reagan.
Taylor was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death. She is currently awaiting her execution date and is the youngest woman on death row in Texas.
