Discover the new capabilities of Messenger for enhanced file sharing.
Messenger has significantly boosted its file size sharing limit to an impressive 100 megabytes. This enhancement will facilitate the effortless distribution of video clips and other large files, especially through your direct messages (DMs).
As highlighted in the video overview above, Messenger’s file size limit has been increased from 25MB to 100MB. Previously, the limit was set at just 10MB, but a year ago, Messenger raised it to 25MB for select users.
This update allows you to easily drag and attach larger files, including text documents, images, and videos into your DM chats. You can also share Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PDF files without any hassle.
You have the flexibility to attach files whether you’re using a mobile device or a desktop computer. Additionally, you can create shared albums that feature high-definition presentations to enhance your sharing experience.
This is a valuable update aimed primarily at gaming creators, designed to promote increased sharing activities within gaming communities on the platform.
However, this feature could have numerous applications within your personal chats. Many users tend to prefer sharing private files on WhatsApp, known for its strong security measures and a larger file size limit of 2GB.
If you belong to communities on Messenger where discussions revolve around specific themes, you can now share larger files in those chats as well, which could be highly beneficial for collaborative efforts.
